We're back with another dev log !
Week 8 is midterm week so we've all been a little swamped :(
This week we worked on:
writing new script on how to spawn trees on the map
player health bar is now visible
saving the game
inventory has been shifted to center of screen
player skills HUD with a radial cooldown
player dash
new AI for enemy movement and combat
Based on the peer response feedback we received from class, we do feel that there is a little bit of balancing to do as players are sometimes swarmed by monsters easily, but we feel that once the other elements such as rocks and trees come in, these obstacles would help to make the game easier for players.
In the coming weeks, we look towards finishing up the various UI aspects and incorporating the story more to help with game polishing.
